BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Choose the elective mix before planning the capstone

The certificate requires one communication elective, one technical elective and two business electives. Their prerequisites can affect the order of study. MNGT 257 capstone follows all the other required courses and all four electives; it is already one of the six required courses.

Year 1 2 $18,600.00 $1,764.50 $20,364.50
Published program total $20,364.50

The additional-fee column is already included in each total. Year 1 contains $18,600 tuition and $1,764.50 in listed fees, based on 15 credits per semester for two semesters. The course section allows one to five years; that flexibility does not fix the same final price for every modified schedule.

Preparing to study

Books and supplies are approximately $1,000–$1,500 per full-time year, alongside standard device requirements. The capstone addresses a real business or community challenge with students from other disciplines. Confirm the elective sequence before spreading the certificate over several years.

Applying to this program

Apply to Business and Entrepreneurship. An inconsistent 'Business and Industry' phrase in the course introduction does not establish a renamed credential. Up to nine courses may count toward later diploma or BBA study depending on the major and its additional admission requirements.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Check the academic route

SAIT assesses the documents and course equivalents for education completed outside Canada. Demonstrating English proficiency does not by itself establish that your academic subjects meet the program requirements.

Check the complete admission requirements ↗
  1. English proficiency

All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. The academic admission section states that there are no further requirements to enter this program.

  2. Education outside Canada

Follow the required international document assessment process. The absence of further academic subjects does not remove the English or foreign-document requirements.

  3. Elective preparation

Individual course prerequisites still apply. Do not substitute elective prerequisites for universal program-entry Math or English subject requirements.

English proficiency is a separate requirement

Assessment results must be from within the year before your application. A transfer or deferral can require updated results when that period has passed.

THE STUDY STRUCTURE

Six required courses and four grouped electives

The selected plan has ten courses for 30 credits. Choose one of two communication options, one of three technical options and two of ten business options. BFIN 301 requires ACCT 215 and BMAT 230 or equivalents; other electives have their own prerequisites. The long capstone prerequisite text includes branches for several certificates, so use the Business and Entrepreneurship branch only.
