BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Two different record checks are required before practicum

Submit a current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and an Intervention Record Check before placement. The Intervention Record Check is an additional document, rather than another name for the police check. Individual results can affect access to placement and completion; the college and placement organizations make that assessment.

PREPARING FOR THE PROGRAM

Placement checks and the learning environment

  • Prepare both the PIC with Vulnerable Sector Search and the Intervention Record Check before the practicum. A criminal record may postpone or prevent a placement, so seek the college's assessment rather than assuming clearance.
  • The college notes that some course topics can bring up strong personal experiences and identifies support resources. Ask the program about the learning environment and placement preparation relevant to your circumstances.

Sources and planning scope

Sources checked 29 October 2026. The tuition dataset identifies 2026-27. The intake resource has conflicting freshness metadata, so its observed labels require confirmation before use as current availability. Individual admission, equivalency and immigration decisions remain with the relevant institution or authority.
