Fitness and Wellness ManagementSAIT
Fitness and Wellness Management combines fitness assessment, exercise science and business study. Its practicum and mix of full-time and part-time study also affect the expenses you need to plan beyond tuition.

Leave room for practicum costs
The course schedule describes three semesters in each year, while the fee table records 2.5 with a footnote for mixed full-time and part-time study. A part-time semester has fewer than nine credits and does not include UPass eligibility. Practicum preparation and travel or relocation can add expenses beyond the annual table.

Tuition and listed additional fees
| Period | Semesters | Tuition | Additional fees | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | 2.5* | $19,354.50 | $2,015.00 | $21,369.50 |
| Year 2 | 2.5* | $18,513.00 | $2,015.00 | $20,528.00 |
| Published program total | $41,897.50 | |||
The additional-fee column is already included in each total. The source's 2.5* semester value indicates a combination of full-time and part-time study. Fewer than nine credits counts as part-time, without UPass eligibility.

Books and supplies are approximately $1,000–$1,500 per full-time year. An Apple or Windows laptop or tablet is preferred; a phone is unsuitable. Immunization is strongly recommended, with charges starting at $85 and potentially increasing. Budget separately for practicum preparation and any relocation outside Calgary.
Keep practicum and immunization expenses outside the tuition estimate unless you enter your own allowance for them. The planner does not assign a fixed price to either.
Read the application payment guide ↗Check the academic route
SAIT assesses the documents and course equivalents for education completed outside Canada. Demonstrating English proficiency does not by itself establish that your academic subjects meet the program requirements.
Check the complete admission requirements ↗-
Three subject groups
At least 65% in Biology 30 or Science 30, at least 65% in Math 20-1 or 20-2, and at least 65% in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2, or accepted equivalents.

Language and documents
English proficiency is required in addition to those subject grades. Education completed outside Canada requires an international document assessment.
English proficiency is a separate requirement
Assessment results must be from within the year before your application. A transfer or deferral can require updated results when that period has passed.

- Education in EnglishOfficial transcripts or a completed international assessment must verify at least three years of full-time secondary study in English at 12 or more hours a week, or at least two years of study taught in English at a recognized post-secondary institution, or a recognized English-taught credential from a SAIT-approved institution.
- A post-secondary English courseA credit course in English, comparative literature, communications or an equivalent at SAIT or a recognized post-secondary institution requires at least a C.
- English Language FoundationsThe SAIT route requires both COMN 155 and SPCH 155. Other recognized pathways have their own levels and assessment conditions; check the complete policy before choosing one.
A practicum within a two-year diploma
Complete 67.5 credits across 24 courses. The program describes three semesters per year; the fee table's 2.5 entries reflect the mix of full-time and part-time study, rather than a count of identical semesters.
Read courses and prerequisites ↗Prepare the fitness practicum documents
- The central practicum table requires a program consent form, Police Information Check, CPR certificate and Standard First Aid for Fitness and Wellness Management. It marks immunization documents and N95 testing as not applicable; that is separate from the program page's vaccination recommendation.
- Follow the emailed readiness instructions before arranging a police check or CPR documentation. Check the required orientation, placement deadlines and formal accommodation process with SAIT.
