BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Resolve the driving licence requirement early

Along with mathematics, English and language proficiency, SAIT requires a Class 5 driver's licence. The program page does not explain how an overseas licence meets that condition. Confirm that with SAIT before relying on the short course duration to plan your arrival.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Check the academic route

SAIT assesses the documents and course equivalents for education completed outside Canada. Demonstrating English proficiency does not by itself establish that your academic subjects meet the program requirements.

Check the complete admission requirements ↗
  1. School subjects

At least 50% in Math 20-1, 20-2 or 20-3, and at least 50% in Grade 12 English, or accepted equivalents. English proficiency is required separately.

  2. Driving licence

A Class 5 driver's licence is required in line with industry expectations. Ask SAIT to assess any licence or equivalency question that the published requirement does not answer.

English proficiency is a separate requirement

Assessment results must be from within the year before your application. A transfer or deferral can require updated results when that period has passed.
