Plan the course load as well as the term price

The standard Fall or Winter load is five courses, while the college's course-load statement describes three as the minimum for full-time study. A lighter load extends completion. Some examinations require campus attendance or approved invigilation, even when classes are available online; a delivery option does not mean every course is offered every term.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Four alternative ways to meet academic entry

The school-subject route requires both English and mathematics. The GED, college assessment and approved business-credit routes are alternatives to that pair; English proficiency remains separate.

  1. School subjects

Credit in English Language Arts 30-1 or at least 65% in English Language Arts 30-2, or an equivalent, and credit in Math 30-1 or Math 30-2, or an equivalent.

  2. Completed GED

Complete the five-test GED, including minimum standard scores of 520 in Language Arts Reading, Language Arts Writing and Mathematics.

  3. College assessment

Satisfactory results on Bow Valley College's Admission and Placement Test.

  4. Previous business study

Complete 30 credits from a recognized business program, with departmental approval.

Check English proficiency separately

For this business diploma, the general table accepts IELTS Academic with each band at 6.0, TOEFL 83, Duolingo 110, CLB 8 in each strand, PTE Academic 59–64 as printed, or BVC Academic English 2 with B−. Academic English 1 does not meet the listed route. An academic English subject and language proficiency have different roles.

Education alternatives

  • English course in CanadaA successfully completed Alberta English Language Arts course, or Canadian-education equivalent, that meets this diploma's academic English requirement.
  • English-medium high schoolTranscripts showing three years of full-time secondary education with English as the language of instruction.
  • English-medium post-secondary studyTranscripts showing successful completion of one year of full-time post-secondary education taught in English.

The 60-credit sequence uses four 15-credit terms and includes AI Marketing Integration, Foundations of Ecommerce and a Digital Marketing Capstone. The capstone is already within the course total. Sources and planning scope

Sources checked 29 October 2026. The tuition dataset identifies 2026-27. The intake resource has conflicting freshness metadata, so its observed labels require confirmation before use as current availability. Individual admission, equivalency and immigration decisions remain with the relevant institution or authority.
