Compare the diploma with the applied Petroleum degree
The diploma is a two-year school-entry route with a $43,069 published estimate. The separate applied degree takes two years after a qualifying prior credential and lists $34,924.60 in tuition and fees. Its price excludes the cost of obtaining that prior qualification, and it includes two student-secured practicums totalling at least 750 hours, paid or unpaid. The two prices therefore describe different starting points and study commitments.

- The degree admits the listed qualifying engineering-technology diplomas with at least a 2.5 GPA, or a relevant mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, geophysics or engineering degree. The GPA condition is stated for the diploma route. Other qualifications need assessment, and additional courses may be required; English proficiency and international document assessment remain separate.
- The degree's first practicum requires at least 400 hours and the second at least 350 hours, each within a maximum 15-week period. Students find their own paid or unpaid positions, with advisor assistance rather than a guaranteed placement or wage.
- Its published 2026/27 annual totals are $26,550.50 and $8,374.10, including listed fees. Books, equipment, application and living costs are separate. These figures do not forecast the price of entering the degree after a future diploma, and the degree's conflicting credit-count statements need an approved study plan.
