Cinematic Arts and Production develops directing, cinematography, sound, editing and production skills over a two-year diploma. SAIT Digital Media Production graduates have a specific route into its second year.

Check the Digital Media Production route before pricing both years
Successful completion of SAIT's Digital Media Production certificate is an admission alternative that gives advanced standing to year two. The full diploma estimate is $50,554, but an advanced-standing applicant should confirm their own entry-cohort charges rather than treating the second annual row as a fresh guaranteed quote.

There are no required textbooks, but a suitable Windows or Mac computer needs a 512GB internal SSD plus a high-speed external media drive of at least 1TB. Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office must both be purchased. Their prices are not supplied in this program estimate.
Confirm the diploma intake, any assessed year-two entry and your elective sequence before committing to a budget. An optional paid work term does not guarantee a position or a particular wage.

SAIT assesses the documents and course equivalents for education completed outside Canada. Demonstrating English proficiency does not by itself establish that your academic subjects meet the program requirements.

School-subject route
At least 60% in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2 and at least 60% in Math 20-1 or 20-2, or accepted equivalents.

SAIT certificate alternative
Successful completion of SAIT's Digital Media Production certificate provides the specified route with year-two advanced standing. This statement does not extend automatically to every media certificate.

Language and assessment
English proficiency and assessment of foreign education remain required. Portfolio-building during study does not establish an entrance-portfolio requirement.
English proficiency is a separate requirement
Assessment results must be from within the year before your application. A transfer or deferral can require updated results when that period has passed.
