Confirm the final experience and approved credit plan
The overview and practicum guidance offer an eight-week practicum OR a capstone, while the required-course table includes both PRAC 249 and PROJ 212 in its nine rows and 19.5-credit sum. Ask SAIT to confirm your selected completion plan. Requiring both contradicts the stated choice, and subtracting one does not establish a new official certificate total.

Tuition and listed additional fees
| Period | Semesters | Tuition | Additional fees | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | 1.5* | $18,174.00 | $1,333.75 | $19,507.75 |
| Published program total | $19,507.75 | |||
The additional-fee column is already included in each total. The annual row contains $18,174 tuition and $1,333.75 in included fees. The 1.5* semester label indicates mixed full-time and part-time study, not 1.5 years. A semester below nine credits is part-time and does not qualify for UPass.

Allow approximately $500 for books and supplies, plus a device meeting SAIT's linked power-user requirements. Exact specifications are not reproduced in this evidence. Technical aptitude, a business or technology background and database experience are useful preparation described by the program, rather than extra universal academic entry rules.
Ask which final route and course total will apply before using the estimate to plan a reduced load. Microsoft certification is a further path involving relevant experience and examination preparation, not an automatic award of this certificate.

SAIT assesses the documents and course equivalents for education completed outside Canada. Demonstrating English proficiency does not by itself establish that your academic subjects meet the program requirements.
Check the complete admission requirements ↗-
English subject route
At least 60% in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2, or an accepted equivalent.
-
Post-secondary alternative
At least two years of post-secondary education at a recognized university, institute or college. This is an alternative to the stated English subject route, rather than an additional requirement for every applicant.
-
Language and documents
Demonstrate English proficiency and obtain the required international document assessment. The prior-study alternative does not state that a completed degree is mandatory.
English proficiency is a separate requirement
Assessment results must be from within the year before your application. A transfer or deferral can require updated results when that period has passed.

The policy also lists CLBA/CLBPA, MET, Cambridge, Oxford Test of English, LanguageCert and Oxford ELLT. Use the official policy for their individual score requirements and for country or institution exemptions.
- Education in EnglishOfficial transcripts or a completed international assessment must verify at least three years of full-time secondary study in English at 12 or more hours a week, or at least two years of study taught in English at a recognized post-secondary institution, or a recognized English-taught credential from a SAIT-approved institution.
- A post-secondary English courseA credit course in English, comparative literature, communications or an equivalent at SAIT or a recognized post-secondary institution requires at least a C.
- English Language FoundationsThe SAIT route requires both COMN 155 and SPCH 155. Other recognized pathways have their own levels and assessment conditions; check the complete policy before choosing one.
Use the official plan to resolve the two final-course rows
SAIT publishes a nine-course, 19.5-credit framework and separately describes a choice of final experiences. The nine listed rows include both three-credit final-course options; the approved selected total therefore needs clarification. The tightly integrated course plan does not permit recognition of prior learning. Prior education can satisfy an entry alternative without creating transferable course credit.
