SAIT states 66 credits across 20 courses, but the captured tables show 30 credits of common core and nine selected elective credits. The remaining 27-credit block is absent. That missing detail matters when comparing this major with the one-year Digital Media Production certificate or planning entry with advanced standing.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Check the academic route

SAIT assesses the documents and course equivalents for education completed outside Canada. Demonstrating English proficiency does not by itself establish that your academic subjects meet the program requirements.

Check the complete admission requirements ↗
  1. School-subject route

At least 60% in English 30-1 or English 30-2 AND at least 60% in Math 20-1 or Math 20-2, or accepted equivalents.

  2. Prior-certificate route

Successful completion of SAIT's Digital Media Production certificate gives advanced standing to the second year of the diploma. Confirm admission and the assessed remaining study plan; the full two-year price is not a remaining-year quote.

  3. Common requirements

English proficiency and international document assessment apply to education completed outside Canada. The admission block does not state a portfolio requirement.

English proficiency is a separate requirement

Assessment results must be from within the year before your application. A transfer or deferral can require updated results when that period has passed.

THE STUDY STRUCTURE

Distinguish the published total from the partial course list

The listed common core has ten three-credit courses. Students also choose three of six three-credit electives, one in semester three and two in semester four. These groups account for 39 credits, not the full 66. FVDO 304 names FVDO 254 as a prerequisite, but FVDO 254 is absent from the captured core; confirm access before selecting that elective.
