Advanced Game Development
Bow Valley College
Bow Valley College's Advanced Game Development page says the program is not accepting new applications and continues to support enrolled students. The published six-term diploma framework and tuition figures below are a reference for that program, rather than an invitation to apply to a new intake.
Plan the tuition ↓
The program is not accepting new applications
The program-wide notice takes priority over the page's general international-student category. Confirm the available alternatives with the college before preparing a new application or portfolio. Existing students can use the published term sequence and tuition breakdown when discussing their remaining study plan.
Plan the tuition by term
Published 2026-27 estimates are a planning reference. They are not a price guarantee for a later intake.

Confirmation payment credited toward first-term tuition and fees
The credited confirmation payment is part of tuition and fees, so it is not added to tuition a second time.

Published admission framework
These are the academic and portfolio conditions described for the diploma. They do not remove the separate notice that new applications are closed.
-
One academic route
A high-school diploma or equivalent, English 30-1 or English 30-2 or equivalent, or satisfactory results on the college's Admission and Placement Test.
-
Portfolio as an additional requirement
Submit 15–20 pieces of original artistic or technical work in digital format. For collaborative pieces, name the contributors and explain your own contribution. The portfolio is required alongside an academic route, rather than being another alternative to it.
-
Portfolio preparation
The Foundation in Entertainment Arts certificate is suggested for applicants who lack adequate samples. It is not a universal prerequisite, and it does not establish that the closed diploma is accepting applications.
Check English proficiency separately
The general English policy lists IELTS Academic at 6.0 in every band, TOEFL 83, Duolingo 110, PTE Academic 59–64 as displayed, CLB 8 in each strand, or BVC Academic English 2 at B−. BVC Academic English 1 is not accepted under this table. These requirements remain a separate part of the published admission framework.
Education alternatives
- Canadian English subjectSuccessful completion of the qualifying Alberta English Language Arts course, or equivalent Canadian education, that satisfies the program's academic English requirement.
- Secondary educationTranscripts showing three full-time years of high school taught in English.
- Post-secondary educationTranscripts demonstrating one successfully completed full-time year of post-secondary education taught in English.
- Test validity
- Two years from testing
- At program start
- Results must still be valid
- Evidence
- Official results required
Six terms of game art and production
The published framework is two full-time years with 76 credits across 24 courses. Each term requires its four listed courses; the final term includes the capstone within that total. The program describes its taught software and hardware as provided, so a personal laptop purchase should not be assumed from a different technology diploma's policy.

Sources checked 29 October 2026. The tuition dataset identifies 2026-27. The intake resource has conflicting freshness metadata, so its observed labels require confirmation before use as current availability. Individual admission, equivalency and immigration decisions remain with the relevant institution or authority.
