BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Plan time to find the practicum position

Students find their own work position with help from an advisor. Include that search and the required 600 hours when planning the certificate. The training supports preparation for water-operations and power-engineering certification, while examinations and plant-time requirements remain separate stages.

Preparing to study

Books and supplies are approximately $1,000–$1,500 per full-time year. Bring a suitable laptop, lab coat, specified CSA UVEX safety glasses with side shields, and a hard hat for laboratory work. These items have no fixed price in the captured program guidance.

Applying to this program

Confirm the certificate's current intake and practicum arrangements. Integrated Water Management is a different diploma, and a short water-operations course does not replace this certificate's study and cost structure.

THE STUDY STRUCTURE

Three calendar semesters with a 600-hour practicum

Complete 33 credits across 12 required courses. The final-semester practicum is required. The table's 2.5* semester label reflects mixed full-time and part-time study; it does not describe a two-and-a-half-year course. ABSA and AWWOA preparation does not automatically issue the related certifications.
